Paper went to Europe from China, where was known yet in IInd century before Christ. It appeared in Middle Asia in VIIIth and in Eurpe - in XVth century. Now it is produced from plants' fabrics by its moulding and chemical and mechanical processing. Finish products of these work are the specific properties of paper: gluying and coloring are only two of many more acts that can be done to change paper's properties.

Kinds of papers differentiate in grammature, usage, kind of surface, color and some more things specific for every type. So there are some basic ways of characterize types of paper, like: wooden or no-wooden, classifying in one of 10 classes of different ingredients - starting from best quality paper. There is also grammature classification.

We can classify paper by kind of surface (matt, rough, one- or doubleside smooth, stamped and other), way of dressing, as coating (with gum, chalk, parafine), saturation (with oils, parafine), laminating or printing, for example wall papers.

Paper is used in many different types of industries, as in printing industry, where paper is a print base here. There is also great using of paper in ceramics, electrotechnics and more.

Best quality paper is handmade, produced only with celulose plants with long fibres. It is used mainly to produce bills and stock.
